How to Get Desitin Out of Couch

Items Needed:

  • Baking soda
  • Soft brush
  • Hot water
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Borax detergent
  • Dawn dish soap
  • Vacuum (optional)

Method #1: Using Baking Soda and Water

Mix one cup of baking soda with two cups of water in a bowl. Make sure it is well-mixed so that the baking soda is dissolved. Then, add a few drops of dish soap to the mixture. Stir it well until the soap is dissolved.

Pour this solution onto your couch and allow it to soak for about 15 minutes. After that, vacuum up the mixture using your vacuum cleaner.

Method #2: Using Vinegar

Mix 2 cups vinegar with 1/4 cup of hot water in a bowl until well-mixed. Then, add 5 drops of dish soap to the mixture and stir them well until they are dissolved completely.

Pour this solution on your couch and allow it to sit there for 5 minutes before vacuuming it up using your vacuum cleaner.

Method #3: Degreasers

If you don’t want to use any household chemicals for getting Desitin out of your couch but still want to get rid of its stains then you can try using some commercial deodorizers designed specifically for removing stains from fabrics like couch cushions or carpeting.

Method #4: Oxiclean

Oxiclean is a good cleaner for removing stains from your couch, but it doesn’t remove Desitin. If you want to try using OxiClean, slowly pour the product over the stain and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, use cloths or paper towels to rub the stain until it’s gone.

Method #5: Using Vinegar and Baking Soda

Mix together one cup of white vinegar with two tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl. Apply the solution to the stain and let it sit for five to 10 minutes before wiping it off with a cloth or paper towel. Repeat if necessary. To remove any leftover Desitin, simply wipe again with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Method #6: Rubbing Alcohol

Saturate a cloth or sponge with rubbing alcohol and apply it to the stain. Allow the alcohol to soak into the fabric for about five minutes before wiping away with a dry cloth or sponge.
