Remove Loose Debris on car Mats

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove loose dirt and debris from your car mat.

Place the Mats on a Flat surface

Place your car mats on concrete or another hard surface, such as a driveway or garage floor.

Pre-Rinse with Water

Using a hose, spray a light mist of water over the entire surface of each mat, paying particular attention to where it will be most visible when installed back in your vehicle (the center console, front passenger footwells, and floorboard areas).

You don’t want water pooling or running off these areas when they’re installed back into place after drying because it could cause damage to the carpeting underneath or cause mold growth inside your vehicle’s cabin if left unchecked for too long (more than 24 hours).

Wash with Soap

Fill up your bucket with water and add a few drops of dish soap. Then place your dirty car mats in the tub, making sure that they are completely submerged in the water. Scrape with a sponge or brush.

Dry with Air or Hang

After washing them, rinse off excess soap and let them dry naturally in sunlight or by hanging them on a clothesline inside your house if there is no sunlight available outside (or outside if winter).
